I have found an awesome budget on the American Banker's Association website.
You can find a link on my site. I work with low-income individuals and I have found that this worksheet works really well when first starting out!

If there were no inflation, there would be no need to raise prices. But since inflation is a fact of life (at least in the U.S.), and we are on the road to hyperinflation, then pricing strategies are critical.

Unfortunately, if hyperinflation hits, it's going to be tough no matter what.

I read Michael's book a couple of years ago. I liked it alot because I've never been good at the 'closing' part of sales and so his ideas appealed to me.

But after years of just trying to do check moves I still believe there is inherent value in the skill of being able to ask the right questions, present answers in the right light and pose a proposition in a way that is more likely to result in a sale.

These are skills I have found very difficult to learn. The words continue to fail me and I am just not that fast off the mark.

As for automated systems, yes we can write compelling newsletters and blast them out to thousands of people, but it is far more valuable to engage someone in a converstation than it is to expect them to read something that was delivered by a robot.

I am a perpetual tyre kicker myself. I don't buy till I'm about to starve or someone throws me a bone. I usually dodge the floor sales staff because I know they will convice me to do something I may later regret.

So where can I find a gun sales person?

An interesting idea. Most of our business gets done face to face at some point in the negotiations. But our value per sale is also quite high as we do Electronics Design and Embedded Software Development for Australian Electronics Manufacturers and developing new electronics products intended for Low Cost Electronics Manufacture in Australia from scratch is a significant undertaking.
That being said, we do use our online presence to show that we are a credible organisation as well as professional sites such as LinkedIn. So in our case at least some our touches are online.

Something to think about.

Andee,

I recently posted an article to my blog on this topic. Here's a quote from it:

"A lot of people wrongly focus on getting the biggest list possible, instead of a focused list. Having a targeted list is critical. A list of 100,000 people that never buy from you does you no good. On the other hand, if you have a list of 400 hyper-responsive prospects, you will make a lot of money."

You can read the rest here if you're interested:
